Regarding Your Club's Financial Security

Our world has wonderful opportunities to communicate instantly through many technology avenues . These include email, texting ,Twitter , and Facebook. Along with these opportunities comes responsibility. People who want to deceive and steal are out there looking to abuse this for us.
* Our Region and our clubs have experienced this multiple times. It is imperative that our leadership do all possible to address this.
* This is even more important to our volunteers who are Treasurers and Presidents. Scammers have and will attempt to use media avenues to steal from our organization.
* At this time we would like to recommend to our clubs and to our Region team that all dialog or requests having to do with money be addressed by phone or personal contact. Never send money in response to an email or text. These individuals are stealing the identity of officers in order to steal and deceive.
* If you suspect that a person is attempting to deceive you , please call the real person rather than sharing information inadvertently.
* This may or may not happen to you but as Region President I wanted to give you a “ heads up” to the possibilities.
At this time we have chosen not to remove email address information from our website in that it is used often by our membership to communicate.
